Going Organic?

Since we have a few new Organic Mommies on our site, Moms InSite thought it would be cool to get the ball rolling on organic talk...

It is not a secret that organic anything is more expensive. You may question whether or not the added amount is worth it? The only person that can really answer this question is you.

Conventional foods contain so many added pesticides, chemical fertilizers, growth hormones, etc. While organic foods are created/grown without these added "ingredients". Some parents prefer organic because it is also environmentally friendly. Some foods are even manufactured in recyclable packing or BPA free packaging. Some parents prefer organic foods due to certain allergies. While others simply wish to start their infant/toddlers out early on the path to eating healthy! Organic baby foods typically have a higher amount of nutrition.

In the end, even if you choose not to "go organic" this is completely okay as well! There are other alternatives to a healthier lifestyle, if organic is not for you. A balanced diet whether organic or not is key when feeding our children! If children are given healthy food from the start, this will set the tone for a healthier future!

There are quite a few brands available that makes baby and toddler organic foods and snacks. 5 of the most popular organic baby food lines are listed at the bottom of this blog; along with links to each of their sites (the order in which they are listed does not represent their popularity). Some parents prefer DIY organic baby food
